Introduction

I'm intending to use this internetspace to "keep my fire burning". I'll explain what I mean by that.

A few pieces...

A few years ago I went into the woods for four days and nights and when I emerged there were a few people waiting me on the edge of the forest, who were supporters for me in this "vision quest". I was struck by the fire that was arranged to welcome me back. It was burning very tall and very hot, crackling loudly. The fire exuded a power that resonated in my opened heart. A burning, radiant, pulsating feeling, thrumming away.

In the past years I've been variously aware of this fire. Sometimes it has been dim and subdued and other times it has been stronger. I intend to treat the fire, which could be called the soul, as a fire in a stove. Breathing into it, rearranging pieces of fuel if necessary, whatever it takes to get it going strong, I'll do it. This effort can be seen as combatting depression or repression. I intend to feel what I have in there to feel, which is to burn up what I have to burn up.

More to come!
